about Jill and Nicky

The founders of wisewomen and wiseadvisory are Jill Wilberforce and Nicky Boustred, both working mothers, and friends for 10 years. They feel passionate about the aims and endeavours of wisewomen and wiseadvisory.

Jill is a qualified chartered accountant, starting her career at Arthur Andersen in Perth, Western Australia and then in London for a number of years at satellite communications company, Inmarsat plc.

After relocating to Sydney from Perth in 2000 and raising her children to school age, Jill worked in asset management and business development at Access Capital Advisers for three years. Jill left Access Capital Advisers in 2009 to start wisewomen.  

Jill is a financial advisor, Authorised Representative of Nixon Drexler Advisory Pty Ltd AFS Licence No. 288253, and holds a Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning) from Kaplan Professional.

Nicky is a qualified chartered accountant (South Africa) doing her articles at Ernst & Young in Johannesburg and subsequently moving into corporate finance with the firm.  She then worked in mergers & acquisitions for Dimension Data plc in South Africa, and immigrated to Australia with her family in 2000. 

From the time she moved to Sydney until she started wisewomen in 2009, Nicky worked in the private equity environment where she was involved in the investment and divestment from several small and medium businesses, as well as in the start-up of two new businesses.

Nicky is a financial advisor, Authorised Representative of Nixon Drexler Advisory Pty Ltd AFS Licence No. 288253, and holds a Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning) from Kaplan Professional.
